Breaking Chains Ministry

Welcome to the new Breaking Chains website. We pray that it not only exposes the problem that exists world-wide but that it moves you to act! Our goal is to eradicate child prostitution and child trafficking in Latin America. At the same time encourage and enable others to do the same in the United States and world-wide. The subject is children who have been sexually exploited which is a dark subject but it is the darkest places where the light of Jesus Christ shines brightest and this is the case here. For every horrific case of evil there is testimony of Gods love and His power to restore. We love these children but His love for them is AGAPE!

I encourage you to begin with the Breaking Chains video which will give you a good overview of what we do. From there read the Gods Children My Daughters - The Lord's Children Part 1.doc which is a 3-part series further explaining our ministry...if you agree with us please join the site as a member to get all the updates automatic.

Breaking Chains Statement of beliefs, mission, and goals

Mission Statement

To fight for the freedom of innocent children who have been subjected to the chains of bondage through involuntary child prostitution, child abuse, and child trafficking. To provide these victims with physically safe havens where they can receive medical and psychological treatment, and hope through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. To provide these children with a means to a positive future through education, occupational training, and Christian principals.

Ministry Goals

1. Put an end to child prostitution and trafficking by creating global awareness of the crime and the many young lives that are devastated as a result.
2. Free the children by working in concert with global, national and local organizations chartered to protect these children.
3. Provide care and sanctuary for the victims through orphanages, recovery centers, churches and other organizations working together as the Body of Christ. Deliver the good news of Jesus Christ to any man, woman or child willing to listen and heal the pain and suffering of the victims through God's grace.
4. Enable the victims to become effective advocates to bring about an end to the illegal activities in their own locale.

Trip to Acapulco

I was part of the Acapulco team. A hurricane was predicted, but by God's grace, it never arrived. The kids started out shy and greatly warmed to us...We played water balloons, basketball and board games. We painted hopscotch squares and Robert built a barbecue. I actually found myself thinking in Spanish at times. We traveled in a van with kids on kids belting "Te Doy Gloria, Gloria" (I give You Glory, Glory), which I am still hearing, and were humbled by the power of worship in a church in a sm… Continue

Expect Opposition

It's so awesome to think of the lives that are touched through this ministry. My prayer is that each and every person you share with is blessed and will overflow the love of Jesus on to their loved ones. As the pastor at my Church goes through a study in the book of Nehemiah I can't help but share what the Lord has put on my heart. Our calling is to go out into the world and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. As we step out to serve God we need to expect opposition. The enemy will try to distrac… Continue

Let us not grow weary while doing good...

Galatians 6:9 . . . And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

I first heard of this ministry a few months back from Lorena and Jose ( & Lil Josie) and I am amazed of all the hard work you guys are doing for our Lord Jesus Christ. My heart is greatly moved by all you are doing and I have been continually praying for "Breaking Chains". Many from my church are also praying. We will continue to lift you all up in prayer and when times g… Continue

Saturday Outreach Rosarito Beach

Last Saturday I had the privilege to travel to Mexico to visit the girls and Lorena-their all in one "Mommy" who loves them and admonishes them and guides them twenty-four seven. What a blessing Lorena is and with a sense of humor and great patience, too. We met her and the girls for the outreach their church has in a vacant field every Sunday. I have never before handed out tracts, but Jill, Irma (short term missionary), and I each paired with one of the girls and went through the neighborhood… Continue

Introduction to Breaking Chains and the Lords Daughters

My name is Steven Cass I am a missionary and founder of Breaking Chains Ministry based in Tijuana, Mexico. I became a Christian on September 16th 2005 a night that changed my life eternally. That night I cried out to a God who I did not believe in and certainly who I did not believe could or would help a wretch like me. I lived a debaucherous life that in many ways exemplified the American dream. I traveled the world, made millions of dollars, and enjoyed all that the world had to offer and more, yet each and every time I was up, found new ways to take myself down…I was the epitome of self destructive. It led me to my knees that night in 2005 begging the Lord for a reason to live or better said a reason not to take my life and for a purpose, which I had neither. I think everyone can and should find a Psalm that represents their life. For me it was easy, the Lord gave it to me that first night, even though I knew no scripture nor had a Bible. Psalm 30 I believe summarizes my life but the part that covers it best is Psalm 30: 2-3 O’ Lord my God, I cried out to you and You healed me. You kept me alive, that I should not go down into the pit. The Lord answered my call and stopped my tears. The next day I became a missionary working for Him. It has not been perfect and in many cases I have blown it beyond belief but I am trying and believe that even the mistakes somehow have led to getting closer to Him.
